Flowers & Gardens - diversity, community and self-sufficiency

Our ‘Flowers & Gardens’ initiative is a living example of the power of nature and the strength of community. On our Jungle Farm, we have planted special gardens that not only provide self-sufficiency for our community, but also contribute to the preservation of biodiversity. A wide variety of flowers grow here, providing food and habitat for bees and other insects, as well as a variety of seasonal vegetables.

Preserving diversity - supporting biodiversity

Flowers play a central role in our ecosystem. They are not only beautiful to look at, but are also the most important source of food for bees and other insects. These pollinators are in turn essential for the health of our gardens and our premium Arabica beans. By planting a diverse selection of flowers, we actively contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and support the balance in nature.

We want to show how we can build a sustainable, self-sustaining community by working and sharing together. By preserving biodiversity, we actively contribute to the optimal development of all organisms in our ecosystem. Our gardens are not only fertile places of growth, but also of cohesion and inspiration - a model for a harmonious and sustainable future.

Self-sufficiency and community gardens

Our community gardens are a central part of our daily lives. They offer us the opportunity to provide for ourselves and experience the diversity of nature. Here we grow different types of vegetables depending on the season, providing our community with fresh, nutritious food all year round.

These gardens are also places of learning and exchange. Everyone in our community contributes - be it by caring for the plants, collecting seeds or harvesting the fruits. This joint work not only strengthens our sense of community, but also generates valuable experience and data that we share with each other. This information helps us to continuously improve our cultivation methods and make them more sustainable.

Sharing knowledge and growing together

Our knowledge and experience is not limited to our community. We also share our findings with neighbouring farmers and other interested parties. This open exchange encourages collaboration and helps others to optimise their own gardens and cultivation methods. Our community gardens are living laboratories and role models for sustainable agriculture in the region.

The ‘Flowers & Gardens’ on our Jungle Farm symbolise the connection between people and nature. They show how we can build a sustainable, self-sufficient community by working and sharing together. By preserving and promoting the diversity of nature, we create an environment where both plants and people thrive. Our gardens are not only places of growth, but also of cohesion and inspiration - a model for a harmonious and sustainable future
