At Desta's Coffee, this guiding principle is not just a vision, but a living reality. On our own jungle farm in the highlands of Kaffa, our coffee not only grows under optimal conditions, but also as a result of organic, sustainable and decentralised agriculture.
Our vision - a village for the future
Our Jungle Farm extends over 120 hectares. We live and work in harmony with nature, with the aim of becoming completely self-sufficient. Our farm is much more than just a farm. It is a living model for the future - a place where the protection of the rainforest, the promotion of biodiversity and the demand for self-sufficiency go hand in hand.
Our Jungle Farm is our vision for a sustainable way of life. The basic concept of our Jungle Farm is based on the idea of a fully circular economy and self-sufficiency. A sustainable balance between give and take. The aim is to meet local needs and enable export opportunities. We want to show how to create a sustainable village that fulfils people's needs without harming nature. We focus on decentralised agriculture that includes livestock, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, spices and much more.

With our Jungle Farm, we are not only creating jobs, we are also creating a community in which people can live in harmony with nature. By building a sustainable infrastructure and promoting social projects, we offer the people on our farm a safe environment in which they and their families want to live.

On our Jungle Farm, we live and work in harmony with nature. Protecting the rainforest is at the centre of everything we do. We use traditional farming methods and combine them with modern and sustainable techniques to conserve natural resources and promote biodiversity. Our farm is a living example of how agriculture and nature conservation can and must go hand in hand. We are actively helping to protect Ethiopia's fragile ecosystem and preserve it for many generations to come.
Education and collaboration - growing together
Our Jungle Farm is also a place that connects. We invite neighbouring farmers and communities to talk about our experiences and share our knowledge with them. Through workshops, training courses and joint projects, we promote lively dialogue and cooperation with each other. Our aim is to inspire local farmers and show them how they can realise their own agricultural projects sustainably.
